Valerie Vacco

Valerie Vacco began singing and dancing at the age of three. With the living room as her stage, a lamp as her spot light, and a vacuum cord as her microphone, she always kept her family entertained! Soon after, she began performing at various school functions. At fourteen, she was chosen to sing, dance, and direct the eight grade Spring Concert, under the direction of Sister Francis Cabrini. Attending St. Joseph Academy, an all girl High School, she then began to use drama and dance while performing in many of the school plays such as South Pacific, Bells are Ringing, and as a Senior, she had the leading roll of "Chava" in Fiddler on the Roof. Her performance in the Senior Talent Show, brought her great honor as her own song was chosen to be class song for her Senior Graduating Class.

Her first child, Michelle Marie, was born on May 30th, 1973. God decided to take her to be with Him the very next day, May 31st, 1973. Difficult as it was, she decided to look upon that day as being "Blessed by God". "Now I have a little Angel and Saint to always be near me". Because of this, Valerie began writing music. As time went on, God blessed her with three handsome sons, Jon Paul, Michael, and Matthew. And it was during that time when writing her music began to have so much meaning and with this, her singing has always been offered back to God, from where it all began.

She owned and operated her own Italian Restaurant for eight years, managed a Law Firm for six years, but her life-long dream has always been the love of her music. She even managed to perform with song and dance for her own Disc Jockey Company, to keep music a part of her life. She has been Matron of Ceremony and Entertainment Chairman for the Festa Italiana in Des Moines, Iowa, where she opened shows for many performers. And throughout all of her accomplishments, she has been awarded the Outstanding Woman of America Award and she also holds the Marion Award Medal.

In 1994 she moved to Cleveland and now performs in shows with United States Accordion Champion, and two times bronze medal winner, Anthony Rolando. Their performances have taken them to many of the Italian Festivals world wide. They also perform songs from around the world. They have been guests for many Television & Radio Programs. Two of her most memorable performances with Anthony Rolando have been the Garden State Arts Center in New Jersey, and performing with Henry Cuesta and the Lawrence Welk Orchestra in Pennsylvania.

Valerie carries such a wide variety of song and dance with each of her shows. You might say she is the vocalist with a lot of "heart", and she loves what she does! This you can see by the audiences she keeps. Besides performing, she has currently released a new CD called Amore~Love and is working on the release of another CD with all of her own Original Songs!
